Episode 166 - Harita Davies

This week we catch up with the remarkable Harita Davies, fresh from her national record-breaking performance at the famous Sri Chinmoy Self-Transcendence 3100 mile race in New York (50 days, 13 hours, 23 minutes and 14 seconds). We learn the surprising things about recovering from such a long run, what you eat and drink when you’re in the middle of such an assault on the body (watch out for baking soda’s move into the world of ultra-running!), and the important things Harita learned in the build-up to the race, lessons which changed her perspective. Harita also talks about her spiritual journey, finding her way to Sri Chinmoy, how sport helped her with depression as a child, and how endometriosis stopped her from running for years. We also run through the news, including the new date for Kepler, Ruth Croft’s great win in France, and the results from Mission Mt Somers. Enjoy!
